What the likes list can and can’t show
Instagram shows the like count on most posts, but it only shares part of the list of accounts behind it. This viewer reads that list for a public post or Reel and shows each account’s username, name and verified badge.
For posts with a handful of likes the list is often complete. For popular posts it is only a part, in the order Instagram returns it, and this viewer shows up to 1,000 accounts. The result shows how many accounts were returned next to the total, so you can see how much is covered.
Some accounts hide like counts. The list may still load, but no total is shown. The username search runs in your browser; a name that isn’t found may simply be outside the part Instagram returned, so it isn’t proof that the person didn’t like the post.

How can I see who liked an Instagram post?
Copy the link of a public post or Reel, paste it above and select Show likes. You’ll see the accounts Instagram returns for that post, with the total like count when it is visible.
Why doesn’t the list show everyone who liked the post?
Instagram only shares part of the likes list, especially on popular posts. The viewer shows the accounts Instagram returns, up to 1,000, and how many that is compared with the total.
How do I check if someone liked a post?
Type their username in the search box once the list loads. If the name isn’t there, they may still have liked the post outside the part of the list Instagram returned, so treat a missing name as unknown rather than a no.
Can I see likes on a post with hidden like counts?
Sometimes. The list of accounts may still load, but the total is not shown. For some posts Instagram returns no list at all.
Can I see who liked posts from an account that isn’t public?
No. Only public posts and Reels can be read. The tool never logs in to Instagram and cannot request access to an account.
Do you keep the likes list or my searches?
Each list is kept in our server’s memory for up to an hour so repeat lookups are faster, then discarded. It is never written to a database, and the usernames you search for stay in your browser.
