Instagram follower count checker
Look up the exact follower, following, and post counts of a public Instagram account, plus its follower ratio and account size.
The counts appear here
Enter a public username above to see its followers, following, and posts.
From username to numbers
- 1
Enter a public username
Type the handle, with or without @, or paste a profile link such as instagram.com/username. A display name will not work here.
- 2
Read the exact counts
See followers, following, and posts as full numbers, with the time they were read. A repeat lookup within about 10 minutes shows the same saved result.
- 3
Check the ratio and size
The ratio score compares followers with the accounts followed, and the size tier places the account between nano and mega.
What the counts tell you, and what they don’t
Instagram shows follower, following, and post counts on every public profile, but rounds large numbers to values like 12.3K. This checker reads the same public counts and shows them in full, together with the time they were read in your own time zone.
The ratio score divides followers by the number of accounts followed and places the result on a 1 to 99 scale, where about 50 means balanced. It describes the shape of an audience, not its quality: a personal account that follows friends back scores lower than a brand that follows almost no one.
The size tier groups accounts by followers: nano (under 10K), micro (10K to 100K), mid-tier (100K to 500K), macro (500K to 1M), and mega (1M or more). Counts alone cannot show who followed or unfollowed, how many followers are inactive, or how far posts reach.
A few useful answers
How do I check how many followers an Instagram account has?
Enter the account’s username or profile link above and select Check count. You’ll see its followers, following, and posts as exact numbers, with the time they were read.
Is the follower count real-time?
Counts are read when you look an account up. Repeat lookups of the same account within about 10 minutes reuse that result, and each result shows the time its counts were read, so check again later for a fresh number.
Why is the number different from what Instagram shows?
Instagram rounds large counts, for example to 12.3K, and can take a while to update them. Our result can also be up to 10 minutes old, so follows and unfollows after the lookup are not included.
What does the ratio score mean?
It is followers divided by following, placed on a 1 to 99 scale: a ratio of 1 scores about 50, a ratio of 10 about 83, and a ratio of 0.1 about 17. Labels range from Follows many to Strong creator signal. It describes the follower and following balance only, not account quality or authenticity.
Can I check the follower count of a private account?
No. This tool only shows accounts returned as public. It never logs in to Instagram and cannot request access to a private account.
Can I see who followed or unfollowed an account?
No. A count shows how many followers an account has, not who they are. To see which accounts don’t follow back, start a free scan from the result.

Want names, not just numbers?
