5 Instagram Unfollow Tracker Apps and Browser Tools Compared (2026)

Instagram doesn't tell you who unfollowed you, so every Instagram unfollow tracker works the same basic way: it compares a follower list from one day with a list from a later day. If you don't want to give anyone your Instagram password, pick a tool that reads public profile data or your official Instagram data download; pick a signed-in app only if you want it to act on your account, for example to unfollow people for you.

The password question matters because of Instagram's own guidance: its Help Center says apps given your login information can gain complete access to your account, and it tells anyone who shared a password with such an app to change it.

This Android app from FollowTech Apps asks you to log in to Instagram and lets you switch between several accounts. For the connected account it lists non-followers, mutuals, new followers and recent unfollowers, and it can unfollow accounts for you. It is free with ads, with paid features sold in the app; Google Play showed it updated on October 26, 2026.

Its listing also advertises "secret admirers", ghost followers and who blocked you. Instagram does not publish lists like these, so treat them as the app's own estimates. Choose it when native Android controls matter more than keeping your login to yourself, and review the developer, permissions, and current store listing before connecting it. This app runs on iPhone, iPad and Android and requires you to sign in to Instagram. It tracks followers and unfollowers for the accounts you add, and says it only reads follower data you already have access to and never posts, likes or comments for you. Core tracking is free with ads; a PRO subscription adds unlimited history, media analytics and multiple accounts.

These web and mobile tools work from your official Instagram data download instead of your password. You request the export from Instagram, upload it to the web app or the iPhone or Android app, and each upload is compared with the previous one to find unfollowers. The free Lite plan shows three accounts that don't follow back; seeing unfollowers needs a Pro or Pro Plus subscription, both billed yearly after a three-day trial.

This browser-based service works with public profiles and does not ask for an Instagram login. Its free preview shows non-followers and mutual connections without an account. Some limits come from Instagram itself, so no app, website or extension can get around them. Be wary of any tool that promises otherwise.

Pick the method before the brand: signed-in native app, official data export, or public-profile snapshots. Then verify when history starts, what the free tier reveals, and whether the tool can perform account actions.
